Meet Sharon, everyone needs a Sharon! I can’t tell you how many times friends have said this to me and they are not wrong!!! Remarkably, Sharon has been helping us for nearly 4 years. Not only is she the Manager here at Faldonside but someone who brings a lot of laughs to our family with her bubbly sense of humour and we all absolutely adore her. To be honest we would be stuffed with out her!!
Thank goodness she is mega organised as looking after 4 self catering properties is not an easy feat. There is constant washing of towels, sheets & pillowcases, (especially this year when one has had to be super vigilant), keeping stock of body washes, coffee capsules, fresh flowers, milk, wine… the list goes on and on! A regular theme in guests feedback are comments on her now renowned ‘lemon drizzle’ cake which she freshly bakes for each set of guests. There have been a few times where I have wanted to take the credit for this delicious cake of hers but how could I when I have only baked 2 cakes in my life and they have been an utter disaster.
Super organised with the diary and brilliant at giving me that nudge when we have run out of something or the hoover has packed in! While I enjoy making things look pretty, my goodness the holiday cottages at Faldonside would not be what they are today without Sharons endless support and enthusiasm. Thank you Sharon, you are a super star!!!
