Both originally from Scotland, Pete & Posy decided to set up home in the Scottish Borders in 2012. Faldonside Farmhouse, now their family home needed a revamp as it hadn’t been touched for a while. Damp and cold, Pete decided to put a biomass boiler in to heat the house in an eco friendly way plus solar panels to help provide electricity. This now provides the endless heating & hot water to the 2 self catering cottages (The Studio & THE LODGE) on the estate.
Posy, who specialised in Constructed Textiles at Duncan of Jordanstone Art school, has not only put her passion for Interiors into their farmhouse but also has had huge enjoyment designing and decorating the cottages on the farm and also at Number One in Melrose. Her unique yet traditional style has resulted in returning guests year after year.
